On Tuesday, 11/26 we flew in a small plane from Moorea to Bora Bora. The airport is on a little island (called a Motu) and from there we took a boat to the resort, Bora Bora Pearl Beach, which is on the Motu Teveiroa (upper left on map). This time our room was an "over water bungalow" with a private deck. One of the special features was a coffee table that looks down into the water under the bungalow where you can see all kinds of fishes. You can slide the top to open it and feed bread to the fishes swimming underneath! All photos can be enlarged by clicking on them...

We met a couple from Florida, Dawn and Peter, who had the same travel itinerary as we did, all the way from LA. They invited us to join them on a guided boat tour on our second day in Bora Bora. It was a lot of fun. Our French guide Christophe first took us snorkeling in a shallow area. We stopped for lunch on the beach at Hotel Bora Bora, more snorkeling in deeper water where the colorful fishes were eating bread right from our fingers under water. Last stop was a drink at a famous restaurant called Bloody Mary's. On the way back to the Pearl Beach Christophe picked up his kids from daycare and his daughter piloted the boat to the resort.

We enjoyed all the beautiful views from our bungalow, sunrise and sunset. Many different types of fishes and a huge eel were to be seen right under the coffee table. What a place! We even played tennis one morning at 7 am, miniature golf and pool.
