Clark, Marsh Win Georgia Senior Four-Ball Championship By Four Three-time champions shoot 20-under-par 196
WAYCROSS, Ga. – Larry Clark of Kingston and Don Marsh of Johns Creek posted a final-round, 7-under-par 65 and finished at 20-under-par 196 to win their third Georgia Senior Four-Ball Championship. The 19th annual competition took place at Lakes at Laura S. Walker and Okefenokee Country Club in Blackshear. Clark and Marsh won convincingly, finishing four strokes ahead of Steve Collins of Claxton and Wally Adams of Vidalia, who tied with Bobby Brent Jr. and Jimmy Holman, both of Columbus, for runner-up honors.
Rocky Costa of Alpharetta and William Bader of Roswell matched Clark and Marsh’s low score of the day, 65, to move into a fourth-place finish at 15-under 201. Al Everett of Cumming and Dave Sexton of Suwanee tied for fifth with Mark Baxter and Donnie Crump, both of Atlanta, at 204. Dan Rhoads of Flowery Branch and Tom Rief of Albany finished tied for seventh with John Holle of LaGrange and Jim Kamis of Marietta. Three teams – defending champions Ron Waeghe and John Carter, both of Greensboro; Don Russell and Bill Blalock, both of Atlanta; and Christopher DeMarco of Acworth and Ken Walters of Kennesaw all tied for ninth place at 206.
