After 40 years it was wonderful to be back in Wicklow. Cecilia met us there and we were able to rediscover our childhood home together. We visited Ballygonell, the farmhouse we grew up in, spent time with Mrs. Carmel Bolger who used to take care of our family and household, visited her son Declan and his lovely family, met up with Theresa Dorn who used to babysit us, and my best friend from school, Kathrina Shine! We took a tour of The Dominican Convent School that we attended as kids, lit a candle in the church where our father's funeral was held in 1970, saw the building where our parents' candle factory used to be located (they had 40 employees at the time), and even had a drink in Healy's pub, where our parents used to go for drinks. Mrs. Healy still remembered our parents! We played golf at Wicklow Golf Club, amazing views along the coast. Also played Druids Glen. We stayed 2 nights in a B&B and then moved to the Grand Hotel (where we also lived for a few weeks when we were young). Not much has changed in 40 years, seemingly. Even the toy store looks exactly the same! Last but not least, we had a great time playing Bingo too...
