Friday, November 30 we left Bora Bora and spent our last day on the main island of Tahiti. Our plan departed at 11:30 pm so we had plenty of time to rent a car and drive around the whole island (yes, all the way). It rained a bit and we saw a lot of shacks that people actually lived in. Stray dogs running around all over. Not a very appealing place at all. We took a few photos along the way, tried to visit the Gaugin Museum (closed) and ended up near the pier where the large cruise ships were docked. On Vai'ete square we had a snack at "Les Roulottes" where various vendors sell their food from mobile kitchens in the evening. By this time, we were ready to get back HOME!
